Yeah, I have 2 friends with manuals. It just hard to set up a good time to get some practice in. Like I said I may put a 1000 down towards ordering a Evo X SE which has the MR twin clutch for the same price as a GSR with SSS im told.

I might be doing the same thing as well. I dont want to sell my RA but I was in an accident so if it comes back and doesnt ride the same than im going for an OB MR. I would get a different color since my RA is OB but I just love this color

Yea the number of months I'll be paying off the Evo is longer, but worth it!

credz: what's the Evo X SE? I only have heard of the GSR and MR

karnage: I'm pretty sure the MR doesn't come in OB. only PB, GG, RR, AS, and WW at least according to mitsu's website. Good luck on getting your car back!

Evo X SE is coming out in the Fall. Its a cheaper version of the MR supposedly around the price of the GSR w/SSS Package. Dealers can order it in May but they are only "supposedly" making 300 of them. A dealer in my area already ordered while 2 others are willing to order it for me if i put a 1000 down. One said possibly End of August or early September.

Thats either the 2011 Ralliart everyone's been talking about or a GSR with SSS... Cause really what's the point of making an Evo SE with TC-SST and SSS package, priced around the same price as a GSR.... that's just an MR... nothing "SE" about it... unless it's a Ralliart with the wide-fenders and GSR wheels we've been hearing rumors of...

but an Evo X SE which is an MR with SSS package is either an MR or an MR Touring and should still be above the GSR price... the only "other" Evo trim that would make sense is an RS and it would come with a simple 5spd, not the pain-in-the-*** TC-SST

Congrats OP on your trade in... I missed my opportunity of trading in my RA for an Evo a last month since my wife wanted a '11 Eclipse GS-Sport so we traded in her 08 Lancer instead... oh well, I guess I'll just wait for either a '12 X or the next Evo to come out, that'll allow me to take care of all this debt im into lol

and yeah, IMO OB Evo X is probably the sickest-looking color, second only to the GG

No, what Credz posted is apparently true. Mitsubishi is apparently releasing a certain number of Special Edition EVO X's with Bilstein shocks and the TC-SST transmission for around the price of a GSR. (Type in 2010 Evolution SE in Google)

Yeah. It seems like a only some of the dealers know about it. A few that I contacted had no idea what I was talking about while the others knew and some already ordered the X SE. Debating if I should get it ordered or not yet.

why 2010 Evolution SE?

If it's an upcoming model it has to be a 2011 release... 2010's are all already in the market, and Mitsubishi is already releasing 2011 models, like the Eclipse GS-Sport, and the 2011 Outlander Sport coming in september... if the Evo SE is really coming, it has to be a 2011 model, not 2010... I tell you, I still don't think that's at all accurate but if the dealer told Crez it was coming then I guess it is coming

And how many dealers told lots of us that Mits was 100% coming out with a manual, GSR rims and wide fenders on the 2011 RA? Have never seen anything about a 2010 Evo SE. If something like that was coming out wouldn't Mits be advertising it alot so they could sell it, an wouldn't there be postings or articles about it in like Car and Driver and such?

I heard the same thing that he did. It isn't just his dealer making stuff up. The dealership back in Orlando told me the same thing. However, they did mention also that they expect the number of cars released to be <1000 or so. That isn't a whole lot, so the chances of actually obtaining one of these things is probably slim at best. However, I will say that the idea is definitely cool.

Yeah, that is true. However, I never heard any of that garbage from this particular dealership, which has been in business for a LONG time. So, I guess that we will all see in the next few months if this rumor does happen to be true.

By the way, I can't remember ever seeing an advertisement for the Ralliart. I remember commercials for the regular Lancer. I have seen many advertisements for the Eclipse (and the 4,000 new trims that it now comes in). I can even recall advertisements for the Outlander and the EVO X but not the Ralliart. Maybe they just aren't pushing it in Florida as hard or something, but I haven't seen one in North Carolina either. I don't think that a lack of advertising is necessarily a sign one way or the other.
