Like I said, that is an advertisement for the regular Lancer (although they are clearly using the Ralliart model in that video). Did you catch the "starting price"? It was like $14,000 and change. I would have glazed right over the fact that the car in the video was a special edition Lancer if I was not already aware that there was such a thing. Either way, I still have yet to see an advertisement that directly advertises the Lancer Ralliart.

 

^ On Mitsubishi Motors website, they have a diff spot for the Outlander, Eclipse, Evolution, Lancer, etc. When building a Lancer you have the choice of the DE, ES, GTS and Ralliart. Mits considers the Ralliart a model of the Lancer, hence why u haven't seen a specific Ralliart commercial and the one posted above with the RA and a starting price of $14,XXX cause it is for the all of the Lancer models. You don't ever see a commercial with a GTS and it says "Lancer GTS starting at $19,XXX" either. Same with the one Evo X ad I ever saw it had the MR premium on it but showed the GSR starting price.

 

Wait, aren't you the one who said that it doesn't make sense for Mitsubishi not to advertise special edition models of currently existing Mitsubishi cars? If they don't specifically advertise for the Ralliart, why would you think that they would advertise for the EVO X SE?

 

I wouldn't consider the RA a special edition model. It is a model offered under the Lancer model. The SE supposedly will be only a limited # by what you guys say so that is a special edition. When Mits came out with the new MR touring for the 2010 I saw a few different releases and posts about it months before it was released. They didn't just all of a sudden spring it on everybody, they put the word out in advance to get interest in it. When they were releasing the Ralliart, Mits put out press releases and mags/sites like C&D, Motor Trend, etc put out previews or atleast put some mention out about it. With the supposed new Evo SE, nobody has seen any type of release from Mits or anything other then what a few dealers say. Credz says that the dealer says they are coming out in a few months like fall time, and no press release or any word about it to let people know they are coming. What does Mits expect, u walk into a dealer to look at RAs and Evos and the dealer will be like oh yeah we have an Evo SE that is basically an MR for the GSR price but we didn't tell anyone and only a limited few were made so its your lucky day

 

Well the Ralliarts are more rare than the Evo's. I think they sell about half as many in a year. (at least that was the figure I saw for 08 or 09)

 

I didn't get the impression that it was that kind of situation. That, and I have no clue what to expect out this company at this point. When I heard about their plans for the next EVO, I almost took a crap in my pants. I can't believe that they would go for something that radical. I think that they might sell 2 possibly 3 of them at most. Beyond that, the car is DOA.

Maybe it was a custom paint job, or maybe just a gsr dressed up to look like an MR? Alwell looks like im gonna go with my second choice than.. GG ^_^

there is a model out now called a gsr performance package. you get the mr wheels, suspension and wing on your gsr. And yes it does come in OB, My buddy picked his up last week.
