Farwell TB RA, hi OB X

Last Tuesday I took my car to the drag strip and launched it a few times. Before my final run a GTO blew a radiator hose and it took the a half hour to clean the track. Launched my car cold (my mistake I know) and third gear slipped at about 5k. Next day a week ago from today, both 3rd and 5th slipped around 5k. Parked my car the weekend and traded in in monday for a Evo X GSR. Took a while to get used to shifting, but I'm loving the car.

I have a few parts for sale in the following threads:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...ml#post8299912
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...ire-setup.html
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...ml#post8299981

Also have the stock intercooler if anyone would want it. Wish there was more parts, but most of them came off and are going on the Evo.

Hope all of you guys have good luck with your Ralliarts. I'll try and keep watching the forum. If there's anything I posted and you have questions about just PM me, since I may not see your post.

Congrats man! Im kinda in the same boat, thinking about getting a X. Never learned manual but got a good deal on a GSR. Kinda waiting and seeing about getting a X SE in the next few months when they arrive maybe. How much did you get for trade in?

Driving a manual isn't that hard. I had it down by that night, hills are the hardest especially around me. If you have a friend with a manual see if they'll help you get the hang of it in a parking lot.

2009 TB Ralliart Trade = $19k
2010 OB Evo X GSR w/SSS = $36k
I owed $21.5 on my RA so lost $2.5k

Monthly payments are still around the same. Worth the loss because it's an Evo and transmission won't be a problem. When the clutch goes I'm going with the Exedy Twin plate.

You must have been paying some crazy interest on your RA loan if your payments are some how similar for the GSR loan which looks like it is probably about 10-12k more than your previous loan.

But any how, congrats on the trade-in. Probably a lot of fun to drive I'm sure! =)

It could be a longer loan term now, since he knows he will have this evo for a long time, I hope!

Take care of your new X man! Good Luck.
Now you have to worry about burning up clutches and grinding syncros.

Get it tuned and it'll be way faster than a modded RA. Since you have the EVO X turbo!
