Should I get the 2009 or 2010
you're not missing out, it's basically the same car. i actually preferred the all red display - it had a retro 1980 atari game kind of feel to it. the only thing i didn't like was that you had to press the info button to get your remaining miles of fuel, whereas the new display combines temperature, gas, and miles remaining all in one display.
I love my 09 as well, like the all red dispay, I just wish the gauges were all red too like my 08 GTS I had.
Plus like ralliartblitz said with the money you save on the 09 you can get some decent tires.

Just the display? Have you tapped on the dash or door panels? The plastics are cheaper than you would expect from a mid-priced car, easily overlooked in the Evo considering what you are getting performance and especially technology wise.
The display is a step up in appearance of the dash, though I don't think it's a serious consideration especially if you can end of saving thousands on a otherwise new car. Demo cars within a certain mileage and age that were never registered can be sold and warranted as new.

wrx/sti is an upgrade of the base impreza. msp3 is an upgrade of the mazda 3. RA/EVO same as a lancer. what do all these cars have in common? they're all entry level sedans at heart. they'll never match interior quality to Lexus or Cadillac, or even a Honda Accord for that matter. at least it isn't as bad as a cobalt, or any dodge.

The 2010 is the clear winner according to the poll, but the amount of reasoning in the thread doesn't match the poll numbers. For discussions sake and to help others who making a similar decision, please post why you chose the 2010 over the 2009. Maybe then there will be more swaying answers than "the console looks better".

Yep!
The only reason to get a '10 would be higher real sale value...which is why the dealer has a bigger rebate on the '09 to balance it out. If you are planning to sell the car within a short period of time then there would be a stronger case for getting the '10. If its a keeper - get the '09.
