That is great news. how much was everything if you don't mind me asking? Were you worried about taking out your ecu and sending it to them? What about the factory warranty?

I need to do a search on the GST from what you guys have said this is free and you do not have to send in your ECU? Can you go back to stock just as easy as loading the map?
Yep. It is just a few mouse clicks away. You will also have to remember to switch back to the stock boost pill when you go back to the stock map, or bad things will happen.
I suggest reading the 2009 GST basemap thread in the engine section. There is a lot of good info there.
This is based on a 2008 Evo GSR, on our Mustang dyno:

Custom tune + boost pill + everything else stock = more then stock 2008 Evo GSR power
The 2010 Evo's baseline about 30-40whp higher then the 2008's on our dyno.
Here is an example of a Ralliart stock Vs. BaseFlash Vs. BaseFlash with boost pill

Of course, once the Evo 10 gets tuned it's a different story.

Its nice that a sponser is on the forums giving information. Makes me feel better about using your product. GST I do have a question for you. Will the dealer know that I loaded the tune onto the ecu?
if you flash it back to stock before any major service that requires them looking at your ECU, you should be fine.

Well I don't know how you can beat that then. For a free tune sounds pretty good. Can someone chime in and ask me how this differs from the AMS and the Cobb. I know AMS you have to send in your ECU which I don't like that at all and I know they are all are just flashes not really as good as an actual dyno tune, but also a ton cheaper than paying for a dyno tune. Just trying to weigh the options.
Not correct, They also have email flashes. Which is better AMS or GST, I couldn't tell you. I have AMS flash (they were the first ones I really read about back when I bought my car. It cost me quite a bit, wish this free one from GST was available back then heh.
(Very satisfied with the AMS flash tons more pull, but $500 vs free....)

1). You pay a security deposit on a laptop and for the actual maps that are included on the computer.
2). They send you said laptop and maps with idiot-proof instructions on how to install the maps on your car.
3). You send the laptop and cable back, and they refund your security deposit.
4). ???
5). Profit

Thanks for that explaination I feel a lot better about it now. I just need to decide which is better the free one or the AMS one. They both seem to really know their stuff.
