Serious what else can go wrong?

Unhappy Serious what else can go wrong?

So if having boost issues isnt enough seriously lol.

Today my wife my 10 month old and myself were driving to an italian picnic, and of course im a. taking it easy, and b. on a major highway with 3-4 lanes in each direction.

So about 10 minutes into the trip as im going around a corner we suddenly hear what sounds like rocks in the front passenger wheel well. Normally this isnt a concern, except that it last for over 10 seconds, and is accompanied by check battery and check oil warning lights in my dash. Im like oh F*CK and start trying to move from the far inside lane of 4, to the outside so i can pull over, only to find i have no power steering either. So at this point im poopingmy pants trying to cut across 4 lanes, with no power, or steering. Finally i get over,my car is running like 16.5 lean on my aem and bogging, so i just shut it down and call road side. As im on the phone with them, i finally get enough courage to look under my hood, and i found this..



Apparently after 14k miles the main engine belt completely sheers off my car?

I can't even begin to imagine what stupid thing will happen next with this car.

That sucks. Atleast it wasn't the timing belt but good to hear you guys are alright.

our car actually has a timing chain... but yeah im glad it was that.

Man, your having a rough weekend, I feel for you. That sucks, but at least its an easy fix. Finding the belt may prove a little more difficult but at least its something very fixable. Good luck. Definitely talk to your tuner about the boost issue too.

This happens to our TA-X and Ryan Gates X a lot. I have yet to see it on a stock rev limiter street car though.

well i guess i should chalk it up to being the first for something again..

Also looks like i was the first to run p 0004 engine code.

mitsu has no history for it at all

340TQ Ralliart?! More interestingly, how is your tranny not pooping it's pants? Maybe I'm missing something here. I thought the TC-SST started giving up around 300wheel TQ?

Sorry about the belt too hopefully you get everything straightened out, although poster above is right...your car is like a Ralliart+ at this point.

I had the same thing happen to my evo a few weeks ago. The accessory belt just jumped off the rails, turned out to be a loose crank pulley.
