Upgrading Wastegate

hmmmm thinking if i should upgrade my wastegate when i throw on the evo turbo?
Go or No Go?

I think that would definitely be a good idea. Smokahountas is having issues right now after swapping to an x turbo, cant hold boost and it is prob his wastegate. I would definitely do it.

yeahhh and he just blew is drive belt tooo i think? i dunno he was texting me yesterday stranded on the busiest main road yesterday haha damn i feel bad for that guy not having a good week

im running the x wastegate, so i did upgrade. It may not be the wastegate, they are working on it now... so ill know soon.

And steve, you can upgrade it, but the way cam tunes, there is no point.

I dont have any idea what you guys are talking about. Ive done the Xturbo swap and just like the single scroll turbo the wastegate on both turbos are internal. What you may be thinking of is the Wastegate Actuator for the OEM internal Wastegate. They're a few aftermarket companys (HKS, Forged, ect)that make them but when making your adjustments make sure you do as instructed. You dont want the turbo overspeeding.

it shouldnt be im getting the dealership to deal wit it and they take super precaution wit there cars...and i dont apparently =/

so cam tunes the car to hold more boost? or is it still going to trickle off to like 13psi like the cobb maps

yes we are referring to the acuator. Its just a way of speaking to call it the wastegate, as in general, its controlling the alloted boost.
