No changes for 2011 Ralliart

Just saw a 2011 Ralliart today, and popular to contrary belief (articles on roadandtrack and whatnot) there is nothing different about the new one. same tires, rims, and I happened to drive it and there's no notable difference in the engine or performance that I've noticed.

Sorry guys I'm bummed about it

Ryan gates has had a 2011 r/a for about 8 months. People are just now getting the idea?

At what price? Edmunds has the 2011 Ralliart at $27,500 (up $300 from 2010). The 2010 SE is $35,800.

I guess the Recaros are standard now since the Touring package is:

P8 Ralliart Touring Package
Leather seating surfaces; 710-watt Rockford Fosgate PUNCH premium sound system with 9 speakers including a 10" subwoofer; 6-disc in-dash head unit CD player with MP3 capability; Heated front seats; Xenon high-intensity discharge headlights; Auto on/off headlamps; Day time running lights; Rain sensing wipers; Heated front seats; Power glass sunroof; Rear lip spoiler (Replaces rear wing spoiler)

I'm not surprised not much has changed, but I would have liked heated seats and a sunroof. Seems like the touring package is a better deal than the Recaro was (if the seats are standard now).

Leather seats, sunroof, and lip spoiler sound nyce! A grown-up Lancer? Definitely tempting...

Nice to see Mitsubishi has pretty much thrown in the towel with the Ralliart keeping pace with the WRX. Same car as when in came out in 09 with only subtle differences here and there.

But no matter what you do with the WRX (short of a body design change), you can't make it not look worse than the posterior end of a dog. It could have 1 million horsepower and cost $15,000, and I probably wouldn't buy one because of how terribly ugly it is.

The key is that reputable mags like Road & Track NEVER posted those lies about the 2011 RA, a "webzine" of dubious standing did and then a bunch of other sites caught onto the same story but the R&T, C&D, etc. guys have real sources that don't quote someone who left the company a year before

Plus there was like a year of posts of people calling BS on it but still people will believe what they want to believe I guess...
