Decided to depart from the Ralliart...

Hey everyone

Some of you have helped with threads I've posted and some know my car from the previous owner (gilbert, ie eeboh). I have the rotor glow. But anyway, I've decided to move on from the Ralliart. Haven't had it long but feel I want something else. The car is fun and sexy, and has been issue free minus when I put the k&n air filter on and got the cel which since I have put the stock back on.

So have a list built that I continue to add on for my next toy. Till recently I hadn't driven a stick but had my first lesson a week ago in my friends s2000 and did pretty well. So if I can get the feel and all for stick it may be the next transmission I'll get. Otherwise have other choices. Was wondering about different opinions on my list, from performance, styling, modding. I like all the cars on the list and I know there will be a few cars a lot will be like "noo" but not trying to biased by brand/domestic vs import, etc with choosing my next car. Still will like to here what opinions everyone has anyway, lol.

Used 2006 or 2007 g35 coupe fully loaded. automatic
New 2011 Mustang v6. automatic, maybe manual
New 2011 Subaru WRX. obviously manual--My #1 so far if I do stick
Used 2009/2010 WRX
Used 2007 or 2008 Nissan 350z. automatic, maybe manual
*insert other suggestions*

I know it comes down to my personal decision but always like having people's opinions when I do purchases like cars, so thanks in advance.

yeah mustang yuck

i agree no way to mustang.... if you ask me i will go to evo x gsr 2008.. you still have the awd but more hi-tech coz its S- AWC + AYC and its pretty much easy to drive it coz of the short throw compare to wrx that has a sloppy gearbox ... i have driven both i love the feel of the evo compare to wrx... the G35 is way slow compare to RA because its too fat that affects the power... 350z blind spots is horrific!!
in the end its up to you what car your choosing as long as your happy thumb up also consider on your list the mazdaspeed 3 and civic si.... Goodluck!

If you get a convertible 350Z like I had you won't have to worry about any blind spots lol. Do not get the mustang whatever you do. They are everywhere you go. I would say get a GSR, or STI. If you want something different go with an 07 I think it is, has the twin turbo AWD BMW. It looks nice if you want to go more euro.

One suggestion, seriously consider straying from AWD. Mustang crap, 350Z crap, Infiniti crap. Most the cars u have listed u see everywhere! Audi S4 was a great suggestion, WRX 2011 i believe is your best bet. Manual of course. Good luck with the car hunt, wish you would stay with us!

of those, the 2011 WRX. and that's saying something coming from me because i hate the new look of the new WRX/STi. i'd buy it purely from a performance standpoint. it would rip all those other choices a new butthole.

why not a used EVO X? if you're considering something used, and very sporty i'd go with an X GSR. i'm sure one can be had for less than a 2011 WRX.

Two-seater coupes, in my opinion, will have you hunting for a "passenger friendly" vehicle later on; I don't know how u feel about having a beater car along with the Z. G35, the backseats might as well not exist in the coupes but Z's/G's have always been solid (if you'll forgive everyone and their mom owning one now-a-days.) 370z out of the question for u?

V6 Mustang, I know they bumped the HP to a decent number for the 2011 but I bet you'll be kicking your own @$$ after driving a GT/V8; and as everyone knows, your expertise will be straight line muscle... that's it.

The Rex... if you really want a manual AWD turbo... I'd go that route if owning the Ralliart didn't kill your love for that type of a car.

Good luck.

A used E46 M3 could be had for about the same amount of money as your other choices, and is infinitely more fun to drive.

Hey man, I am going to have to disagree with everyone saying no to the stang. I own a ford truck and I have never, ever, had one problem with the truck. I have that thing modded out aLOT, and never have issues at the dealer. Even though the modding and service thing is relative, still food for thought. I have read a lot of articles about these new mustangs coming out, especially the 5.0. From what I have gathered, aside from the amazing engines that ford has built for the stang line, they are attempting to make the mustang a more well rounded car. That said, if it was done to that and the WRX, I would get the subie just because mustangs are a dime a dozen. But, ultimately its on you, I think you have a good list of cars up there to choose from. The infiniti is a no go, in my opinion. The parts for that are way too expensive considering its really a nissan, you will pay a LOT for any repairs if you need them. I say you cant lose with the big name imports, subie, mitsu, etc. If I were you, I would be eyeing the X. An X will outperform all those cars and you can get a used one with low miles unbelievably cheap right now

Well I'm steering away from fwd, so not really interest in the vw gti, civic si, or mazdaspeed 3. Not a fan of hatch's either, ie mazdaspeed 3, gti, etc.. lol

With the 350z, when I test drove one i noticed the blind spot issue but I can think that problem can be solved with those blind spot mirrors. Liked how it drove tho.

Probably gonna stay away from euro cars too, esp used, parts and maintenance is the most expensive with those. I looked into a used bmw m3, like 2004 originally but may not be worth the costs, esp if i have a big problem. Unless I pay for an extended warranty that would cover any costs of repair, then I'd consider an M3.

I do still enjoy the idea of awd, fun in the rain and stuff, so thats why I like the wrx. The sti is way out of my price range unless i got a pre 2008 one. Hate that hatchback look of the 2008-2010 sti's...

So evo sounds good too.

So:
Evo X GSR used
2011 WRX
or used 2009/2010 wrx for cheaper.
Used m3 if i can get a good, extended warranty and be affordable
350z i still will consider..
