Ranting About mitsu

Hello all,
I need a place to vent. My car has 40 000km's (approx 30 000 on the stock dunlop) and they need replacement. I called my local dealer for an aligmnent last week, had that scheduled in so i take the day of from work. I show up, they do the oil change and then tell me i needed to book in advance cause they don't do alligment at the service shop. Wtf i cancelled my plans to have them do an alligment.

Now, fast forward to yesterday. I bring my car to an alligment shop. They take the readings and they tell me the factory bolts won't even bring my car into specs. I call the dealer, they tell me to bring the car back into the shop so they can look at it. This is rediculous. I'm tired of running around like this, i think i'm calling the bank to see what my payout is and i'm selling the car asap. Everytime i try something it seems like all my efforts are just pushed back by mitsu.

I've got to bring my car for an oil change, and i've got a leaking rear diff leaking, they say they need another day and keep the car, yet they dont even offer loaners or shuttle services. What a bad dealership. I'm seriously doubting mitsu customer service and this car seems like it's going to be a money pit that will keep on eating at my wallet.

Help me out guys, i can maybe sell the car for 20k, but i still owe 30k on it. I traded my old car and lost 4k on it, so had to borrow and extra 4 k, now with the deppreciation on this car and ontop of the previous one. It was a dumb move i know.
What should i do.

Write to MITSUBISHI Corporate (look in your original paperwork for who & where) and tell them how unhappy you are with YOUR dealership! Be articulate and professional. Don't sell the car if you are happy with it, except this situation of course...

I think you should hold onto the car and keep paying it down. I like the post about calling mitsubishi of north america to see what they can do for you. If you are under warranty you shouldn't be paying any extra except the tires and fluid changes. A leaky diff should be covered. Did you get the allignment issue worked out? Did mitsu charge you for that too?

I think that's the issue with your particular dealership.
Maybe you should try another dealership with more professional and equipment..

Since I bough the car, I have never went back to the dealership for ANY work... not even oil change. Usually 3rd party *trusted* garage can do much better job and communication is a lot simpler than dealership service managers (where they always follow a certain procedure..)

I haven't got it alligned as of yet.
I contacted mitsu and they say i have to purchase these bolts. But why would a reputable tire shop who knows what they are doing be telling me crap. The fact is, the stock bolts on the car cannot bring the alligment into specs, which would therefore mean that the car was never into specs when i received it. They always want to look at things, and i cant afford to leave the car in their hand for one day while i have no other means of transportation. It was mentioned before that the car had alligment problem in other threads, why does mitsu keep saying it's not their fault when in fact it is.

So there i stand, had to pay half of the alligment cause they did half the work, (tire shop) but i'm still nowhere except left with an empty wallet. I still have to pay for the new adjustable camber bolts, cause mitsu will only replace with the same one.

Mitsubishi has terrible customer service. From what I have seen it's the worst of them all.

Most dealerships are very limited on loaners so they wont offer it especially if there is only one left because the facility manager gets to drive one every day, so you have to ASK for a loaner and tell them you really need one. Your being a push over. People have business to take care of and will push people out of the way if they can. If you simply dont let them they wont because they can't. Its all about how you talk to them its not good service but most dealerships are like that. Remember service advisors talk to Hundreds of people a day with problems and complaints and can only handle so many at a time and depending on how you deal with the situation will depend on how far along the list of good service your going to get. These service advisors are good at DEALING customers. Turn it around and DEAL the service advisors and you'll get the service that you paid for. If the advisor gets PISSY with you dont get PISSY back demand to talk with the facility manager if he/she is a dick/***** emand to talk to the owner and fyi the owners are usually a big soft spot for the facility manager if he cant handle a customer.

the fact they cant bring the car to exact zero on the alignment isnt that odd. 0.1 or 0.2 is more agreesive and isnt anything to worry about.

The likely hood these comes zero'd out from the factory is not high. The read diff leaking is sorta common too. I believe i had this issue at like 16000kms and it was fixed quickly and quietly. You should be thankful they had the due care and attention and caught that it was leaking.

Keep in mind that every dealership is independant, and that one shouldnt sour you on the entire brand. Mitsu as a whole isnt that large of a manufacturer in canada, most of the smaller import dealer, like kia and suzuki are in the same boat, and rarely offer some of the conviences of a bigger dealer like loaner cars.

At anyrate, i think you just need a new infinity for the car. Get it tuned or add a few mods to recindle that love affair you had when you bought it.
