Parking Corner Light

Hey guys,

so our parking light went out and when we took our car in for service to check a check engine light.. they told us that it'll cost 55 for labour to change the bulb cause you have to take apart the entire housing..

is this right?

i havent looked into it.. i am gonna go home and check the manual

but this was strange they told my wife this.

Which parking light? If its the one on the front fender, they have to replace the whole unit and I imagine it can't be easy to get to.

The parking light in the headlight is easy. Just reach back there and twist the connector and pull it out the bulb will come with. After that just replace with the 194 blub of your choice then twist and push back in until locked. Simple as that. If it's the fender turn lights. Push back then lift the frot up to remove. If this blub is bad you do have to replace the whole thing not sure if you could just replace the blub inside or not. Hope this helps.

Why dont you just pop your hood and look?

It takes about 1 minute to do both and replace with a 194 bulb. Personally i took mine out because it looks better with my hids without a city light.

Guys ... any idea where I can find a set of white LED replacement bulbs for the side marker lights (not the ones on the side of the car, but the front of the car) ?

I found it easier to reach them from the top. I just tapped into the parking lights to hook up some LED strips. Is there any other place these type of bulbs are used?

I use 'superbrightleds.com'. They have good prices and have so far been very reliable.

i believe licence plate light bulbs are the same. and they're just LED's. you can tell the quality from the picture usually so ebay shouldn't be a big deterrent. i find the other websites that people listed on this thread overpriced for LEDs. look at dealextreme.com too for what prices should be like
