I was looking to find a replacement for JB weld to use on exhaust pipes. I had the threads on my 2nd O2 sensor striped completely so I ended up finded this stuff called Fire Seal 2000. It says it is good between 1700 - 2000 degrees F. I was I little hesitate at first but I must say after the putty dried it was like cement. It is holding up now and my CEL is now gone. I really suggest this to anyone looking for a putty that needs to resist high heat. It also contains metal in the putty so it blended nicely. I could not find it at a local place but I ordered it off ebay and it arived in 2 days. What I did was used the putty to connect the o2 sensor to an o2 restricter I purchased from AMS. After letting it dry for 2 days (just to be safe). I then connected the sensor to the bung. Very good product.
