I'm pretty sure it will, the box is just a tad different style but air filters are the same cause I bought the hks drop in for the Evo and it fits fine

i have seen a lot of guys running the cosworth filter with no issues. i personally chose to go hks when i had a drop-in panel replacement because 1. cosworth filter is oiled and 2. cosworth filter is heavy as hell for what seems like no good reason

Actually that's not correct. Cosworth filter in NON-oiled! From their website:
Cosworth Performance Air Filters are constructed from a proprietary synthetic, non-woven single layer, pleated polyester filter media that requires no oiling. For an OE like fit, the filter housing is injection molded from High Impact Polystyrene. Each Cosworth air filter has been engineered to fit the vehicles original air box providing a true cold air supply to the engine. Cosworth Performance Air Filters also provide increased air flow when compared to the original equipment air filter.

HKS is too thin and you have to replace it sooner.

cosworth filter is the best imo. it is NOT oiled as someone mentioned. it is also of similar material as the Ralliart (the company, not the car) filter but at a fraction of the cost. we all know oiled filters can mess up the MAF, and HKS doesnt filter very good. cosworth is where its at!!!

I'm with you man. I did research on 6 different filters including: Ralliart, Works, Perrin, Cosworth, K&N, and HKS. I eliminated the Works, Perrin, and K&N because of the fact that they are oiled filters, and I was concerned about problems with gumming up the MAF. So, that left the 3 non-oiled filters, but the Ralliart one was super expensive and the HKS one doesn't come with a gasket like the factory filter, so the only product left standing was the Cosworth. To steal a line from Goldilocks and the Three Bears, "it was just right".....

you are correct. i apologize for misleading information, i went back to the friend whom i believed had the cosworth filter and it turned out to be the works filter that he had installed and i was mistaken since they were both blue. sorry to jump the gun like that
