I don't if my difference is psychological either, like when you do a mod your butt dyno always seems to show nice gains lol.

I don't know if the difference is good enough to take the time to turn off the ASC everytime I get in the car though.

I've heard that changing the SST fluid early helps a lot with the jerking. Supposedly, the filter is pretty clogged by 20-30k miles from break in.

I'm pretty sure it's a psychological thing and throttle input matters also, I noticed if I'm super soft with throttle off the line I get a really nice start but if I pushed the throttle like any other car it jerks a tad bit. But theory is busted, unless u can prove otherwise

well as i stated, the sprint boost does offer less lag off the line. Its not psychological, its just a fact. More then likely its due to the amplified signal from the pedal to the throttle, but regardless it does the job nicely.

I turn off ASC regardless of whether it rains, shines or snows.

The car is full time 50:50 AWD with mechanical differentials.

I don't want a computer applying brakes to different wheels, especially in the snow.

The mechanical differentials and ACD will prevent power disappearing through a spinning wheel.

It annoys the hell out of me I have to hold down that horrible hard plastic button for 5 seconds to disable it. In fact come to thing of it, starting this car is a real pain, it beeps loud as hell in my ear because I start it before putting on my seatbelt. Then it beeps like hell when I lock the door to leave it warm up. Then when I go to drive it, it beeps like hell that the roads are icey. The yellow flashing display for ASC coming on is also distracting in the middle of a corner. Is there a way to disable the beeping? where is the speaker located?

For those of us with the GST tune. I am wondering if the car just responds better if ASC is off because that is probably how the car was run when the base tune was achieved. What do you guys think. Honestly I think the drives better with ASC off. It is litle differences. Just wish we had a faster way instead of hoilding for 5 seconds.

Yeah but is it worth getting the booster when you can just buy other parts that show actual gains? I don't know if this debate has already happened. Based off the comments it sounds like it has.

the booster still has a place regardless of mods. Im fully x swapped and over 310 whp and use it.

As do others. It doesnt create power, but you do feel a difference in the way the car reacts.

It just so happens that a few large and well known Print Mags have evaluated Sprint Booster and its looking good. People have beefed and hashed the subject to death. But the findings of these mags will once and for all settle What Sprint Booster is and what it can do. And yes I mean on the performance front.

Speaking from personal experience.
As more Dyno Trials have gone on, in some applications, and I say some. I have witnessed first hand the creation of power, in some cases its an increase, but what is even more shocking... Creating the power sooner. There will be some results posted soon.

To the OP:

ASC for traction control pulls power when wheel slipage is sensed. NO other time. So no, this won't affect launches with normal driving.

From my (350Z) experience - in slick conditions - i can still modulate the throttle better than the computer and not get the lag. My launch is better.

ASC will let the rear end out and then stop the rotation.

Try it with on and off in a parking lot to safely understand what the car will and will not do under these conditions.

Final recomendation? Leave ASC 'on' (per my friend that is a driving instructor for Porsche Club).

As far as I am concerned and since my opinion is the only one that matters.

Sprint Booster is wrongly named it should be named S.E.G. Booster for

SCAT EATING GRIN

Because mine gets bigger every time I drive my lil Sprint Booster equiped beasty.

And thats all that matters isnt it?

I was fortunate to be able to drive with one for a week before I made up my mind to purchase it. And I think Westbound got the same courtesy. And I did notice a smoother transfer of power resulting in less jerkiness that the OP mentions.

Placebo or not, it did something for me, for that I am positive.

To bad other suppliers are not as cutting edge as Platinum Mitsubishi
