How to get rid of the JERKY motion from dead start

So, I finally noticed a huge different using ASC OFF and ASC ON during daily driving.
I always hate the car coz it sucks at digging from dead start on traffic lights, but eventually today I turned the ASC OFF for my whole journey and ended up being satisfied =)
- no more jerky motion from 1st to 2nd to 3rd gear
- dig better from dead start
- better millage?? ( anyone know sth bout this?)

Just be more careful when turning at high speed with ASC OFF =)

During DD (stop light to stop light) you shouldnt be tripping ASC.

the asc is always on dajackson, and does limit your stop to go ability until you turn it off.

ya i think what he is saying is you should not be tripping the asc to come on and activate itself thus slowing the car down unless ur driving like an *** everywhere u go. I mean unless ur draggin off every stop light this should not just pop on and slow u down everytime. Its only meant to keep u from spinning tires which helps with traction control. So what dajackson is stating without saying it is if this is just popping on maybe an issue is underlying making this happen

i get what he is saying, but what i trying to convay to you is this. The asc is always active, not just when you get the slipping light, but always. With it off you will notice a reduction in the amount of time it takes for the car to start from a stop. ASC off + a sprint booster makes it a complete non issue.

I am going to try this out too for the heck of it. I only notice jerky first gear to second gear when i start the car and it has not warmed up. After that i really don't notice any bad shifts or jerky starts.

I tired it today ... not much difference but the engine does react differently ... just a tiny bit ... not so sure if its only psychological effect of that ASC OFF light?

With the ASC off I find the car to be more predictable. Driving in the rain the other day I went around a minor on ramp and the back kicked out a little and I was able to counter steer nicely. If the ASC was on, it would have slammed the brakes on on the one side and it would have just been weird. It doesn't feel natural.

As for mileage it makes no difference. Unless you hold second at 5500 rpm around a corner then yes it does tend to sway you into more "spirited" driving.
