Ebc?
So I just ordered a Go-Fast-Bits G-Force EBC, and wanted to know if anyone else is running an EBC on their RA. I know the consensus is the ECU does just fine, but if we all settled for "fine" then we wouldn't even bother to load the GST base maps (haha).
The biggest attractors to this is the Scrambler Button, the spike stop feature, and the fact it can regulate up to 50 PSI, so that at some point in the distant future when I decide to do some serious upgrades, I'll be able to control it without blowing my motor.
What are anyone's thoughts on this, preferable from those who are speaking from experience, not simply regurgitating what they "heard from that one guy that one time".
Thanks,
Steve

I don't have an opinion on that particular EBC, but I believe a 3-port controlled by the factory ecu would give you the control your desire. Many people with monster power, tuned by professionals are using this setup. I don't have monster power, but I do use a 3-port, and it works great!

So the 3-port is another part to install, its not part of the EBC? I have heard of them and I understand they are an option for lesser set-ups, but I was under the impression that EBC's come with 3 or 5 port set-ups...?
my ralliart worked fine with this http://www.perrinperformance.com/pro...ry=37&model=26 and a custom ttp tune.

hahaha, i enjoy works fine and ttp in the same sentence.
good joke.
On a serious note, you should really consider datalogging your car. They don't post here anymore for a reason. I wont dive into it, but it would be in your best interest to dig into the archieves and search up ttp

Ahhh, thanks for the heads up.....
I was reading through the old thread about TTP tuning a 2009 RA, and it seemed to be a worthless pissing contest (of course this opinion is made with hindsight, in that we now know the tuning IS possible, haha).

I'm not saying go get a ttp tune, if you have a problem with them that's you not me.all i'm saying is that's what was on my ride when i had it on.
I'am headed to Sean Ivey for a tune this week, hope that' fine dont want to offend you or the others if that's OK.

You didn't post anything offensive. My post was only marginally related to yours. I don't get upset on the internet, but I appreciate your concern.
Im showing concern for your vehicle well being. Going to Ivey is a GREAT IDEA, i can guarentee he will 1. tell you how bad the tune you have now is, and 2. will make the car feel 100 times better.
