Fuel Efficiency Mods

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone had some ideas as to modifications that could be done to increase fuel effieiciency?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Im assuming getting a custom tune would help considering the car runs crazy rich from the factory. hehe

The GST map and pill will get you 2-3mpg if your careful. Adding a larger FMIC should help too.

Installing a less restrictive exhaust will always increase fuel economy.

im thinking best bet is AP for econo map and performance map when u wanna do some spirited driving. i didnt notice any gains in mpg with my current mods, if anything i lost 2-3highway

When I changed my original summer tires + rims for winter tires + rims (16" OZ F1 rims + 205/60 Nokian R winter tires) I noticed that I now got around 8l/100km when I used to get around 9l/100km before. OEM rims are super heavy, it seems changing rims & tires has a huge impact on consumption!

Its probably because your winter tires are rotating faster causing your odometer to show a higher mileage. I would reduce your odometer reading by about 4% and redo your calculations.

Tune and driving habits.

With that you can improve the MPG a lot more.

Actually they're almost the exact same size, there's just a 0.3% difference. (0.2" difference in circumference)

You can program to lean it out a touch when at cruising speeds. Others have done this with some success.
