Yes, they will fit the RA. Anything designed for the MR SST will fit the RA SST.

their is no reason to upgrade the clutch pack unless you plan to push more the 340 ft lbs of torque, unless you plan to abuse the car.

lol gawd these posts always get to me when people dont understand what they have, Same engine as evo(exception of single scroll turbo, not twin scroll), same tranny as MR(with exception of no s-sport, we have a stronger 1st gear, our 6th gear is a econo gear and not a MR racing gear). And i do believe the same AWD as the evo 9.

I know what kind of car I have and what it is capable of, just clarifying if that part will fit my car with no modifications because some owners said they had to. I think its better to ask than not to and waste money. No need to get upset.

False we have the same 1,2,3,4 gear ratios including the same Final Drive as the EVO MR.
Our Ratios in 5 and 6 are lower.

MR Gear Ratio:
1st 3.655
2nd 2.368
3rd 1.754
4th 1.322
5th 1.008
6th 0.775

RA Gear Ratio:
1st 3.655
2nd 2.368
3rd 1.754
4th 1.322
5th 0.98
6th 0.73

Yes there's some evo x mr guys here pushing 400+ whp only with tranny coolers and stock clutche(s) the tc-sst is for sure a great tranny it really depends on how YOU use it PROPERLY. Defintely you will need an sst cooler kit if you're hungry for more power.

He can use the vin of an EVO and do some warranty service on the RA by getting some EVOX parts for free.

It's not that easy! Some of the warranty parts, more for EVO's and RA's get sent right back to Mitsubishi in Japan.

The key to preserving the tranny (as has been proven several times by those specifically tuning the SST, we all know who they are ) is to have your boost and torque come on nice and steady. This creates a nice smooth rise in torque, which you tune to have as much area underneath as possible. By not spiking the boost and torque, your helping to preserve the life of the SST from unnecessary strain. That is the only "weak spot", if you want to call it that, of our beloved tranny

Once you start making real power, as in getting rid of the dinky stock turbo, you have to start using some "torque management" strategies in the tuning for 1st and 2nd gear.

The car gets all sorts of pissed off when you start making some real power. Luckily I've done that already and solved/helped *most* of the growing pains....
