Question 12,000 Mile Service

I just got a letter in for my 12,000 service. Any idea on how much it will cost?

Maybe it cost $12,000?
Just Kidding.

It's probably $100 bucks. I think its an oil and filter change. Then, they inspect a bunch of things. Probably a tire rotation too.

If it severe duty, it's going to be tire rotation, oil change, oil filer, in cabin filter, and air filter.

I'm guessing ~$200-400 at the dealer, depending on which one and how much they wanna rip u off.

It's the 30k u gotta worry about, cause at that point u should change the transfer case fluid, differential, and transmission, plus transmission filter. I figure 7-800.

Just got my 15,000 service done. My stealership charged me 325.00 with tax. They replaced the cabin filter changed oil serviced the throttle body assembly checked for belt tightness and topped off my washer fluid... The next big one is the 30,000 and they quote about 525.00 before tax.

If it keeps it running nice and in warranty its worth it for me at least.

Man, for basically an oil change and two new filters (I assume they changed the intake element also). I'd like to know what "service" they did to the throttle body.

The ONLY time i would bring in an RA for service is to have the fluids done in the trany, ACD, diff etc...

Oil and filters people should learn to change for themselves. 325.00 for that? GIGGLE... do it yourself and save 200.00 bucks.

Keep the receipts, log the maintenance. Warranty will be fine.
