*sigh* ...everything was perfect until jan 31

Day after my birthday a kid decides to roll through a flashing red and sideswipe my RASB.

I was already in the median lane and he just kept on rolling. I managed not to tbone him but the damage to my front right left the car completely undriveable. Every warning came up on the dash, including service transmission!

Insurance finally looked at my car friday and sent the paperwork to my dealership. Everything on that corner has to be replaced, as well as damage to the pass. Front door amd bumper.

I am concerned the car will never be the same...

I'm still waiting on the shop to get a proper estimate back to MPI. they promised a week turn around with talking to MPI on an accurate damage estimate. i want everything on that corner replaced though! sure hope there wasn't any real damage to the transmission.

It wont be...even if it is, your mind will play tricks on you convincing you there is a slight pull to the right, or you'll think you lost some power, or the turning radius is slightly worse, or you'll think the shifts feel harder than they did before...the mental aspect really throws you off when crap like this happens.

I had a sensor go bad in the steering column of my RA. The entire tree had to be taken apart to reinstall the new sensor. I constantly think the dealer put it back together with about a 1 degree turn counter clockwise, resulting in a slight pull to the left. I've had the car realigned twice since I got it back, and everyone tells me it's fine. I know it's not...at least not in my mind.

Then again, I had an accident (my only reported accident ever) in a previous car, and ended up plowing into the back of an SUV...$13k in repairs to my car alone, and when I got the car back, it felt like it was brand new. Never had a problem with the car after that, due to the accident, or otherwise

moral of my little story here....it's a crap shoot, cross your fingers and hope for the best. Let us know how it turns out
