It's basically a large magnet that you stick onto your oil filter. It's the same concept as magnetic oil plugs, but should work better since a lot more oil travels through the filter than does past the oil drain plug.
It's about $50, but since it's reusable (and probably fits different size filters) it doesn't seem like a bad investment.
So...any feedback on this? Has anyone who has used this cut open their filter and found metal particles like in the photo?

I used one of these on the rebuild on my Mustang back in the day and they work really good during for the first 10k miles of break in but after that didn't notice anything different in the filter after that.
