Hey guys I've been looking at Evoscan and have a quick question. Can you use a gps unit (tom-tom, garmin) or do you need to purchase one of their screens?

I think that is a unit they built. I don't think it works with other GPS units.

 

That screen is basically the entire unit, you change that you lose all the functionality. Your better off getting a NetBook that has GPS ability and running EvoScan if you want one screen with both functions.

 

What about if I don't care about the gps function. Would I be able to download it into the tom-tom I have

 

If you can get the tom tom to do anything besides navigation I think you can make lots of money. The reason these small units are so cheap is that they are designed for one thing and not able to have multiple uses.

no that isnt possible, garmin on the other hand has gauges also but its not as good as evoscan.

Have you tested the Ecoroute HD with an Evo?

 

No i havent, i currently dont have any GPS.
