Had to start cleaning out all my debt... Have new priorities and new plans, and I haven't even been driving her lately so I thought rather let someone else enjoy it... It saddened me to see her just standing there in the driveway... I was refusing to even drive it cause I went into Captain Frugal mode and began carpooling with the wife...
I think I'm becoming too much of a treehugger... I kind of want to sit around and give Mitsu a chance to finish the Evo XI before I pull the plug on anything else... so for now, it's saving money time and being mad that I can't go fast whenever I want to
I'll lay low for now... I'll come back to the Mitsu family two or three years down the road...

Understandable. I don't see it as being a tree hugger unless you got a Prius...
But if the debt removal helps you sleep at night as well as saving money for a bigger bank roll, then so be it. Good on you for being smart... sports cars aren't going nowhere.... they may be part electric going forward, but will still be around.

Dude, I was the same way when I sold my Eclipse. It was a 2002 GT, had about $4-5k in mods, drove great and only had 1 major problem which was covered under warranty. Up until I got my Ralliart, she was my favorite car I've ever owned, and my '97 F-150 was my favorite truck. I can't pick one over the other, both were loved equally.
When I traded her in and ended up buying a 2006 Subaru Legacy, I literally cried and I RARELY ever do. It's definitely a guy thing when you let go of a car you put a lot of time, money and love into, hard to see it go. However, when I ended up totalling my Legacy back this past January, I bid it good riddance, piece of sh*t.
With my Ralliart, the same thrill I got with the Eclipse is present, and is greater in fact, because I see it as an upgrade. Good looks, good performance... can't beat that. All in all, sorry to see you part with your Ralliart, but priorities come first unfortunately.

Sorry to let you know but Mitsu isn't making another evo....
You can read that up in the evo forums D:
I know it's a long thread, but try reading beyond the title. Mitsu is unsure if they are keeping the Evo platform, especially since the consumer outrage upon first hearing that the Evo may die.
The only fact they have given is that this current breed of Evo will no longer exist after 2013. The name may live on, but it will be a whole different type of Evo from what it's ever been before to match up with Mitsu's plans to move the entire product line forward into the Green realm.
Jaz, sorry to hear about your loss... Nothing wrong with doing the right thing for you family though, props to you for that.

or hum.... heck... I might even give the Toyobaru a try:
who knows lol
Should have kept it if you could afford it
.
What I learned over the years of buying, selling, and trading cars (keeping them for only a short period of time) is that it's not a good move. Best to look for the car that you absolutely want, buy it... and then keep it forever.
