ok. i spoke to devin today and i need a evo x bov and an evo x maff housing and filter. whatever that is.

anyways, i was wondering if i bought a HKS SSQV3 BLOW OFF VALVE . would that fit? and where is a maff housing. is the filter extra, any type of air filter? will provide pics after tune.

Evo X BOV would hold higher boost than the factory BOV..
"maff" is actually "MAF- Mass Air Flow" housing.. this is what you need to follow: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...n-70-00-a.html

You can find a used EvoX BPV in the for sale section, it's basically upgrading your plastic piece to a metal one. The HKS version is usable, but you need to make sure you get the recirculation kit with it, which is not included and costs you even more money to make it work. Plus there are other driveability issues that come along with the HKS valve which is why I took mine off.

As far as a MAF housing and filter, PM me or click on the "DIY SRI" link in my signature

Good luck with your tune Devin is the man & you love your car afterwards!! Trust in in not wasting a ton of money on a bov. By the way our cars use a Bypass Valve I got an Evo X metal one used in the for sale section dont waste money buying it brand new! Trust me you'll love the way the car sounds once you have an intake and you'll still be able to here noise from the bpv. Make sure you get the Grimmspeed BCS its well worth it!

Yeah, you will definitely love your car when it's done. Like getting a completely new car all over again.

Jay, I wish I had known when you were coming out for the tune, I would have stopped by the shop.

Seriously man, spend $50 on a used oem X valve rather than wasting an additional $250 on the valves you keep linking. If you just have to spend $300 paypal it to me and I will send you my stock X valve

The Grimmspeed is a boost control solenoid.....it works better than the boost pills.
