Airbag Assembly Showing Threw Dash
Those are probably sink marks due to shrinkage and/or porosity for the relief pattern on the other side of the piece for the air bag to break through.
Happens all the time with parts that I design. It's usually worse with darker color parts though texturing (or matte surface) tends to hide it. There are two possible reasons why the marks are visible in your dash.
1. Poor design.
2. Someone forgot to put a note saying "no sink/gating/surface imperfections, etc" on the drawing and whoever made the dash decided to save money by running the part without enough pressure and too fast without cooling it adequately.
Technically not a functional issue since it just means that the air bag will probably pop out and smash your passenger in the face with slightly less resistance than before.
