Picked up Some New Kicks!
Enkei NT03+M 17x7.5 +40....Wasn't planning on getting rims today, but Dave at speed factor gave me a price I couldn't refuse!
Can't wait to get some new rubber and get these things on the evo 4! Weighed them today, 16.4lbs per wheel!

Hooked me up for 1100 tax in!
And the SC1's are for winter, they've got the winter tires on them now. I'll leave them like that so I can just swap them on after summer.

I had to do some searching before buying rims, but I came away with this:
The evo 4,5,6 all share the same chassis, however, unlike the 5 and 6, the 4 does not have stock flared fenders, meaning less room for aggressive fitment. I saw people having issues with rubbing even on a 17x8 rim on the inside with a 45 series tire depending on how low you go.
I don't want to have to roll or pull fenders if I don't have to, as I've done it on other cars before and it's a pain more than anything. Especially with trying to make the fender liners sit right after the fender has been rolled.
Stock IV rims are 16x7 + 45 I believe, so My thinking was I'll go with something 7.5" wide, run a 215/40/r17 tire, the +40 offset will sit the rim just a tad further out than stock and I'll be able to drop it a decent amount without having to worry about rubbing issues as I've got HSD coilovers on the way. The IV is quite small/ narrow compared to the VIII and IX, so I figured the 7.5's combined with awd should be more than enough grip on a car this size, and any grip I'm losing out on by not having an 8"+ tire I'm making up for by reducing unsprung weight.
Haven't ordered tires yet, which is good because I'm starting to think if I throw 5mm spacers on all the way around I should be able to get away with 225 tires.
