Finally Installed my RA Bumper Vent for larger intercooler

What do you guys think?
Before and after...

The last pic was prior to cutting the crash beam, so the intercooler wasn't "peeking" through yet....

Oh wow that middle picture looks really nice man. But is it ok to cut the crash beam? How did you do it and where are the airbag sensors located?

The airbag sensors are well out of the way. You are essentially making the RA crash beam like the Evo X. The X has similar holes in the beam. The pictures do it no justice. It is very nice

you need to do some paint work on the crash beam...

I thought about looking to see if the X crash beam would be a direct bolt-on but have not gotten around to it yet.

Paint work is done. The center picture where you can see the intercooler is AFTER the last one. The last one, I had not had the crash beam cut yet. You can't see the beam at all. It is sweet. I will post the same pic as the last one this afternoon now that the beam is cut.

There is a supplied template for the shape needed. You can cut it with a grinding wheel, sawzall, plasma cutter, etc.

I would love to see a test that shows what kind of benefit we could expect from this product. It looks very nice but I would be concerned with the danger involved in weakening a beam that helps with impacts. If an Evo X crash beam was a direct fit then maybe. But then your taking about quite a bit more money involved to make this a better option. Then I doubt this would make any sense at all with the difference in cooling power gained. Just my 2 cents. Either way very nice look.

I like the way the ///// ///// Ralliart design is incorporated in the center of the 2 vents

I really don't know about the crash beam from the Evo X fitting the RA correctly. The RA has two mounting points on the crash beam for the bumper skin that the Evo X does not. The good news is cutting the crash beam isn't a big deal with the right tools. Here is a link to the part...

So many other things I could be spending my money on.

But, it looks good.

I wish it were matte black so it didn't stick out like it does. But it is a nice piece none-the-less.
