Catback Install w/ Rhino Ramps?

Pretty straight forward. Do Rhino Ramps on the rear tires give you enough clearance to sufficiently install a catback exhaust? My car is not lowered. Has anyone done this? Would like to know before I pick up a set.

No exhaust installed without a lift is fun but this should do just fine.

you should be fine. I put my car on 4 jack stands and the height is about the same as it would be on ramps. My car is lowered too

It will work, BUT it will be a huge pain in the ***. U will not enjoy it and will not be comfortable. To get the exhaust of will ease having more room is needed. I suggest just finding a lift (paying someone 50 bucks) and do it there. If u back onto the ramps with a lowered car u will not have much room to work. I would not buy the ramps.

Just use the stock jack you pansy. Use a jack stand or something solid as a failsafe. Thats what I did before I had a fancy jack and ton of jack stands.

Buy a shop jack and jack stands, you'll thank your self later. Maybe not when you have to lug it around though.

ok just did the install using ramps last night. It definitely can be done, although if your claustrophopic, you may have a problem. My bolts were so rusted out after two years. That was the main source of difficulty. If I had known I would have gotten it on a proper lift, as I really really needed all the leverage I could get, even with a penetrating lube sitting on it for a while. It is useful to use the jack to support the midpipe and hold it up under the body so it does not move when you are trying to take off the bolts.

Overall I would do it again with the ramps, if my car was relatively new, and didn't have a drop. Given that this was my first catback install, and that I didn't have all the right tools, some of you may find this much easier. So the point here is, yes, rhino ramps give you enough clearance to install this catback for sure.

If anyone ever has problems with the rusted bolts; use a blow torch and heat the bolt up. It will make the removal so much easier. I had to do this while installing my CB and my car is only 1 year old

Lube just doesn't always work...

But, but... heat can alter the characteristics of the metal!

Seriously though a torch can save a lot of time and broken bolts.

I just put a stock cat-back on my car this afternoon using jack-stands. Getting the Agency Power off was easy. Lifting the OE muffler into place revealed the problems with barely being able to do a push-up. For anyone in decent shape, should be no problem.

My bolts are rusted to crap with the car being 2 years old. Taking it to a shop to use the lift to torch those things right off.
