if a bolt-on like the ETS is meant to directly replace the OEM X FMIC, and the OEM X FMIC fits...then.......????

I just installed my ETS intercooler kit this weekend. the LICP painful and annoying, part of it my own fault, but overall a good piece for the price. I would go as far as saying the RA LICP -> Evo X LICP (either OEM or aftermarket, they're about the same) is a bigger upgrade than the flexy UICP. the spoolup difference is huge

ETS intercooler kit is a good balance of quality and price (AMS overpriced, UR lower quality imo), and has lots of options to customize. I'm pretty happy with the overall product. If you're on a tight budget, you can save a little by getting the OEM Evo X LICP

and michael is a great guy, great service!

Yeah, I understand the concept if A=B and B=C then A=C, but that's totally not the point!! If these companies want to market their products to the Ralliart community, then they need to start listing in writing on their website that the Ralliart is one of the models which the product fits, and not make us ASSUME that just because it fits the Evo it will also work with our cars.

All good points above about the ETS FMIC, it certainly fits very well right where it should, but comes furnished with silicone couplers and TBolts that are 2.5" and made for the EVO X.

It is no big deal really if you replace your stock RA IC pipes/hoses with larger 2.5" pipes like many do, but initially I used the stock RA LICP pipe which is 2.25" and needed a reducer coupler. Personally I think the ETS FMIC is one of the best values, but it might be nice if it was marketed as a kit for the RA with fittings/couplers for those that might wish to use the smaller OEM RA pipes.

Let me know what couplers you guys need if you purchase just the intercooler and I will see if I can make that happen. We have HUGE stock of silicone inventory. If it's just a long straight 2.5" coupler I can do that all day long.

I can make a RA only kit if you guys, but it will most likely have to come packaged with an upper pipe.

So you're saying that the licp was a better upgrade than the uicp?
Or that the ra licp is better than the eve x licp?

sorry, to specify...

i would say that upgrading RA LICP -> Evo X LICP or aftermarket (if you research around, the Evo X LICP is a pretty good piece) is a bigger upgrade than upgrading the hose UICP to a hard-pipe

though I guess i would argue to upgrade the whole system. OEM Evo X FMIC + LICP can be found for cheap used on the forums, and select the UICP hard-pipe of your choice. If you're looking for better performance, I think ETS has the best balance of cost/quality, and I'm pretty happy with mine
