Just bought a new 2012 ralliart

The car is great, very fast, but.... nobody has any issue with the armrest??? my elbow won't even able to touch it.... the cover on the armrest is so short and my seat is too high, and i'm already set it to the lowest possible already.....

Yeah, the armrest isn't really an armrest. I've thought about building a real one once or twice, but haven't done it yet.

/shrug, mines fine (i'm 5' 10"). I normally drive w/ hands at 9 and 3, but in situations where i want to lean on an arm rest the center console is just fine. Then again, I'm not expecting captain's chair type arm rest so i normally have my elbow on it w/ my hand on my leg or the shift knob...

erm... lemme rephrase that. I'd have to have arms of a gorilla to be able to lean on the arm rest and reach the shift knob at the same time. Basically, every time i use the center console arm rest i get exactly what i expect out of it and nothing more. Something to prop an elbow on and that's it. I sometimes wish it had a bit more padding on it, but that's about it.

I am 5'9" and have no issues at all. I actually have never fit a car better. I have seen a few video reviews of people complaining about the seat posistion though. My girlfriend is 5'0" and alls she needs is to sit on a pillow and she is good to go! But Yes you are right the center console arm rest isn't really functional, that being said I have never really used it for that.

One hand on the wheel, the other on the shifter....center arm doesn't even serve a purpose for me.

I'm 5'10" and mines not in the right spot either. Could stand to be an inch or two taller for my liking. Door arm rest is too low, and top sill is too high for me too. I've adjusted though.

Yea I noticed that right away on the test drive. I just had to adjust my position a little and now I'm used to it. Just the end of my elbow is on the armrest and I rest my hand on the e brake lever.

I never used mine until I got my Recaro seats in, now it seems like the seat is low enough for me to use it. Btw I'm 6.0
