2009 Ralliart bluetooth setup

I ran a search but did not find anything.

I just purchased a 2009 Ralliart and noticed that the bluetooth does not work at all. Car is in park, e-brake up, key's in "On", i press the "Speech" button and nothing happens. I press the answer and hung up buttons and nothing happens. Radios on and there is nothing in the displays.

Any ideas why it is not responding?

Thanks for the tips!

The car may not have it .... All Lancers have the buttons but untill recently 2010-2011 did it come with bluetooth standard....
They are all wired for Bluetooth....

So the buttons may be there but will not function...
That is what it sounds like.
.... Also check your fuses but for the most part the module hooks into the back of the stereo .... So if the radio works so should the bluetooth if it has it ...

PM me if you need the Bluetooth module. I took mine out of my car.

If you want to check, if I remember right, open your glove compartment and look above the opening right below the passenger air bag. Again, that's if I'm remembering correctly.

EDIT: Yes, I remembered correctly. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...evo-x-gsr.html

All Ralliarts come with Bluetooth standard. Since the OP bought the car used, it is possible that the previous owner had installed an aftermarket radio, and either just disconnedted the unit or removed it entirely.

Is the factory radio installed? If the radio is aftemarket then the factory Bluetooth will not work.

Mine is an 09 and has the bluetooth, and when I was shopping for my RA they said that a lot of the base model lancers have the bluetooth controls on the steering wheel, and it was a 500 dollar option to have it hooked up.

Just my .02

I recommend getting an aftermarket headunit. Clarion makes one that matches our interior very well. I got tired of trying to get my stock bluetooth to work right and it didn't even have A2DP.

Factory radio.

I did call up the guy who I purchased it off of and he said that he didn't choose the option to have the module. However the steering wheel has the buttons.

Even after calling up Mitsubishi they were not as helpful as you guys were.

Thanks again for the help!

I believe the Canadian Ralliarts have different options.

I didn't realize he was Canadian. My phone app doesn't show the user info the way IE does.

I believe the CA RAs were only "bluetooth-ready"

So, I got the bluetooth module, installed it....

Still nothing.... Is there some fuse I need to drop in or anything else? Can I check for voltage anywhere? I hit the voice button, car in park, e-brake up, radio on to hear anything. Info screen says nothing.

What am I doing wrong here... I might just take it to the dealership.

I think the dealer has to initialize the bluetooth device.
