Noobie. Need advice on the ralliart.

So I have a ralliart hatch coming in a few days, and there is a lot I want to do to it. I hear a good bit about the transmission failing on the interwebs... What would you guys suggest doing to get my car past 400hp? I am looking at strengthening the weak points.

If you want to modify that much... I would really consider getting an EVO...

Not impossible if you do a full x swap. It would be a pretty sick sleeper.

But seriously, post on ra forum

instead of paying for a price to boost a 400hp ralliart, why dont you spend the money on a evo.

If you want that much power, maybe you should buy one of those turbo kits that are like this:
https://www.extremeturbosystems.com/...Turbo-Kit.html

That is because the stock Ralliart manifold would have to be replaced to install a turbo that can make 400 HP.

Only install that kit after you have installed a better intercooler and exhaust system.

Your going to spend a lot of money. Might as well just buy an Evo.

Damn it. Should have scrolled down more. Can an admin move my thread please? The reason I bought the ralliart over the evo is because of the hatchback. I do a lot of moving stuff and I have a 90 lb pit bull, so a sedan was out of the question. I will probably get the tranny done by Shepherd racing, and start doing the evo conversion on the rest of the stuff after that. Trying to find out the weak links of both the ralliart and the evo so I can move past that.

Oops... I wasn't even thinking about practical reasons like needing cargo room... lol. I hardly ever fill up the already small trunk in the EVO.

I'm sure you will be able to get some good power out of your RA... then you can scare your pit bull when you bring him out for drives. lol

Don't even bother with an x swap just get yourself a map ef2 or ef3 turbo and the supporting mods to go with it. And your trans should be fine there is a few of us with over 400 HP doing just fine

What you will need to get to 400/400:

Evo X Manifold
Evo X Spec Downpipe
HFC/TP
Catback
Larger FMIC, UICP, LICP
New BPV (Synapse, TiAL, etc.)
SRI/CAI
FP-Green, CBRD BBX-Lite, MAP EF2, or Garrett 3071R/3076R
"Better" Transmission Fluid
Transmission Line Pressure Increase
Excellent Tune
A lot of luck.
