EVO 9 VS Ralliart

I know that EVO X is totally different from Ralliart under the hood. However, I heard some people said that Ralliart is built very close of an EVO 9. Is it true? Do the mean the AWD system or something else?

The Evo X and Ralliart are pretty similar under the hood.

The Ralliart and Evo IX are pretty different, front to back.

but I saw several video on youtube that comparing EVO X with Ralliart. They look very detail into two cars, and they show the different. However, some video said Ralliart is similar to EVO 9. I don't remember if they were talking about the AWD system or anything else. I am just curious what parts are similar.

Under the hood, it pretty similar, The Evo X has a bigger turbo, and S-sport Mode,
Ralliart has a smaller turbo, S-Mode. Drive train taken from the Evo 9.

Ralliart drivetrain isn't taken from the Evo 9 guys. Honest. Really.

The only reason you've heard that the drivetrain is taken from the Evo 9 is because other people have incorrectly stated that the drivetrain is taken from the Evo 9, and around it goes.

Damn, it's happened again here!

Aside from the bits mentioned above, the RA and X MR have the same drivetrain. Except that the MR has AYC.

And because we don't have AYC, we dont have the S-AWC.

Is there another Mitsu with a similar AWD system as the RA, or was it put together for this model only from the parts bin? (like the brakes)

AFAIK, the only bit that carried over from the IX to the RA is the center diff.

What is the purpose of your question? Are you comparing to buy one or the other? Or are you 'sourcing' parts? The EVOX forum has an excellent comparison to the IX (and then you can extrapolate to the RA )

The AWC of RA is Evo10's S-AWC minus the AYC.
Evo 9 didnt have the AYC as well, so ppl just assumed it's from the Evo9...

edit: USDM Evo 9 didnt have AYC, JDM one does I believe
