ACD / Tcase is the same as the Evo 10 MR.

 

I think the confusing bit is that the X has an electronic rear diff (prone to breaking); while the RA has a mechanical rear diff (beefy, doesn't break...so far). People say it's "like" a IX in that the IX also has a mechanical rear diff (set-up style), BUT the actual units are different
Just for simplicity call it an X drivetrain w/o AYC (who needs that nonsense, lol) but w/ a mechanical rear diff (FTW)

 

The ralliart is set up similar to the IX as in limited slip diffs front, center, and rear...that is all

Don't exactly know where our rear diff came from. I believe someone discovered different part numbers from it and the 9 but don't quote me.

Well, just remember... there were a HEAP of early Ralliart reviews that went on about the "Evo IX drivetrain".

And "different camshafts compared to Evo X" - remember that one?

I STILL have X owners so "swear" that my engine has different internals....
