For everyone that is modifing the ralliart with tunes and bigger turbos ect. What is your plan if your sst decides to fail one day. What if your out of warrenty. What would you do?

 

go to a junk yard and source another SST, possibly have the current one rebuilt, or possibly source a 5spd (and all the necessary extra parts) from a wrecked EvoX...

it won't be "unrepairable" forever. maintenance and rebuild documentation will come out for it...

I will just swap another SST in it ... might be hard to find...

 

Same thing I'll do if I...

- roll the car at the track (my driving = my responsibility)
- have an engine failure (self-tuned car = my responsibility)
- leave the sunroof open while parked outside, prior to a rainstorm (nearly done this one, duh)

I topically explored doing a manny tranny swap - but it would be more expensive than a replacement.

 

The question is... what do YOU want to do in this case?

 

Buy an extended warranty. It's worth the 3 grand to get it upgraded to 200k km
