I just gotta say, I really love them. Installed a set earlier today - took all of about 15 minutes of my time.
The hood is pushed open quite a bit higher than with the prop rod. You can see in the 3rd picture how much higher the hood stays open.
Open the hood about 1/2 way, and it is opened for you the rest of the way.
Bought them for $60 off Ebay. Shipped out of Taiwan, but showed up in less than a week - not too shabby.
You can search for "evo x hood gas damper" and it'll pop up. No, I have no affiliation with this company, brand, or anything else. Just thought I'd pass along a good product to my fellow ralliart'ers.
