Very rarely will I switch to sport mode. It feels like a totaly different car. When I do turn it on, I feel as if I'm spoiling myself.

75% of the time I drive Sport /Man. other 25% Normal /Auto (kids in the car, somthing in my hand, ect)

Have not turned off ASC but one time (some fun in the snow parking lot)

Does turning off ASC just get the car sideways when you want to have some fun in dry conditions?

/shrug depends on the tune. I'm running GST v2.7 on my car and honestly like it in normal + manual mode for daily driving. For runs up the on-ramp or canyon carving, i'll switch to sport + manual + asc off.

I'll occasionally turn asc off during daily driving, but it's not something i do religiously.

Pretty much the only time normal mode gets used is on the freeway for cruise control! Trying to keep the clutch slippage to a minimum

I understand that but it only holds true for Sport/Auto, correct?

Sport plus manual shifting for me. I might be rolling, but I normally flip into Sport before I shift into D or R.

Why is it for manual too? If it is in manual mode, you upshift or downshift whenever you want. I believe I can manually shift the gear in the same speed no matter is normal or sport mode.

Compared to NORMAL mode, the trans will usually take less time to complete the shift in SPORT mode. I say "usually", coz the SST is a temperamental thing, lol.

Sometimes you can feel NORMAL mode upshifts do a sort of "one-two" operation to shift, whereas the SPORT equivalent just kind of does it in one op.

For downshifts, SPORT mode will (usually) catch the lower gear a bit sooner. On my car, that tends to make downshifts smoother, as the throttle blip gets it to the right rpm quite precisely. NORMAL mode seems to leave it a bit too long before grabbing the lower gear, so it feels a bit like a blip->pause->grab.

Once you really get dialled into the way the trans feels, the difference between NORMAL and SPORT in manual shifting is quite pronounced!

What is the different in fuel consumption for this 2 mode? Would Sport mode close to an EVO's normal consumption?

I use normal mode in the mornings on my way to work while drinking my coffee and sitting in traffic, other than that mostly sport mode/manual.
