Now you just need to fit the smaller Ralliart body, do the front and rear caliper swap to fit RA gear, get a TD04, mechanical rear diff, remove S-Sport, and fit narrower rims and rubber!

hey now,
I love my rear diff :P
Believe it or not I out corner X's on the track (not 8/9's tho, or atleast the re-built rear diff guys who I run with), but they get me on the straights. In fact, I wonder if we can re-build our diffs for better cornering, just like the 8/9's?? 2 of my buddies have them and those cars turn in on a dime, it's nuts.

How do you know you out corner them? I suspect that an Evo X being driven at 10/10 is faster through the corners than a Ralliart or Evo 8/9 being driven at 10/10.

Numbers to back it up. The X puts down better cornering numbers than the IX, so if IXs are faster than you, so should the Xs.

Cuz I drive with about a dozen guys. We run in a lot of sessions together.
Sure you could say, it's the driver, but that gives me too much credit.

Or you're modified. A lot of it is undoubtedly the driver, they may not be willing to push as hard or the car simply don't feel as confidence inspiring, even though it has plenty of grip left.

I have a very modified suspension, I keep it super stiff. My buddy Jason has a GSR on KWv3 with a BBX Full, I'm on a stock X turbo. I pull away in the corners, but I think most of it is due to smarter shifting (a GSR has to worry about about more thigs before he can shift, I just pick the right moment of apex/torque curve).

Too many variables to determine what the reason is. Lag from the larger turbo or non-ideal RPM is definitely a possibility.

This year was my shake-down year, next year (Feb) I hope to start getting better times (new coilovers, FP Red and SSP 500 clutches/steels/seals).
To clarify this was on smaller courses (SOW), on the high speed ones I've always been mince meat.....here's to hoping

my buddy with an ra just finished up his 5 speed swap this summer, biggest pain in the *** he said. the wiring harness for the tranny is the biggest problem and the frame has to be kinked in. he wishes he would've bought a evo instead. if you plan on doing big plans, get the gsr

What are big plans? And why do you have to get a gsr to do these big plans?

Manual tranny. I personally wouldn't push the sst over 500/500. Big plans as in doing internals with a big turbo. You can do what you want. Just saying if you don't want a headache
