Does anyone know about the headlamp recall?

Ran a carfax on my RA today and it listed it as having an open recall for headlamp replacement I think. Will post up more info when I get home later

I went to the dealer yesterday and they wanted to do this also. The lady said something about the adjustment tabs having to be be checked? I denied it bc I'm thinking about getting projectors anyway.

Safety recall campaign SR12-002 is a check of the adjustment mechanism in the headlamp housing. Nothing is removed to visually check the back of the housing. It literally takes less than 30 seconds after the hood is opened to check the lamp.

If there is a specific white plastic cap missing from a certain location on the housing the headlamp assembly gets replaced….for free!!!

Aftermarket bulbs are not an issue.

It’s not a big deal…get it done!

Apparently, this recall has been around for awhile.

So after they fix it, I won't be able to horizontally adjust my headlamps?

No. From what I understand, they inspect the horizontal adjustment mechanism and make sure that it is not disabled. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
