Sorry if this has been addressed in a previous post, but I didn't see it mentioned using a site search.

Background: My 2010 Ralliart (no modes) seems to enjoy playing a fun game with me...mainly not letting me in. On average it plays this game about once a week; when using the remote key to unlock the door, the car immediately locks the doors. If I am fast enough I can open the door before it locks itself, but it usually takes a couple of tries. Any idea what is causing this?

 

try to use your spare key to determine if its not your remote key. if its not that, something else is wonky.

 

Do you have the fast key?...haha get it? no but really do you?

 

do you have the mmcs(sp?) maybe a setting got changed.

 

I do have the fast key (maybe there is a slow key option). I have tried both key sets (even changed the battery in both) and both have resulted in the same experience.
One of the biggest issues I have is since I am stationed overseas (Italy), the option of taking it to a dealership...really isn't one.

Are you sure your not hitting the black lock button by accident as you go to open the door?

 

Pull the physical key out of the FAST fob and see if that causes the issue as well.

 

The first time it happened I thought I hit the lock button on accident, after confirming it was the unlock button it continued to lock itself immediately.
The next time the car decides to play this game I will try to manually unlock it with the key and see what happens.
Is it possible the car battery is going south and causing this problem?

 

only thing i could think of is maybe the black button in your door handle is shoved in? the button locks the doors, so maybe its jammed?
