Information Panel - Color vs Orange Display

So I have been poking through the threads and I haven't found this yet.

Is it possible to switch from a Orange Information Panel, between the 2 guages to a color display information panel.

I have a 09 Ralliart and I have noticed, I might be wrong, but the newer '12 & '13 Ralliarts have the color display, and they show more information.

I would like to switch if possible, because they appear to show more information at once, rather than have to push the info button to circulate through the info.

Anyone tried this?

Thanks Ahead of time...

Pretty sure that cluster( tach, spedo, info panel) is all one piece. You would have to replace the entire piece. Don't know how that would work in terms of the display because I know the panel has different warnings on the color display.

Yes this does work, someone has done this in Australia. It plugs straight in and you can even use one from an Outlander.

Only problem is that the Odometer will still read the same as the car it came off.

The odometer can be reprogrammed to your proper mileage, as well. There are a few companies out there able to do so if you look around.

I have a '13 RA and personally I think this would be a major waste of time and money.. The only this I use this display for is odometer. The "Eco" light is crap.. The the MPG readout is very inaccurate. To the point it's annoying; I just leave mine on "Trip A" now. Sorry if I'm the party pooper...

some people just don't like the red display, they find it hard to read.

i personally prefer the red display just because it reminds me of Kit from Nightrider

Rokpapaziz, Thanks for the link, it was helpful, but for $1000, I can push the info button. Not worth it, unless my dash some how gets mangled by a car gremlin.

I terms of looks, I prefer the red/orange monochrome to the colour display. The new one is mostly black anyways. It has colours, but it's not stylish or anything. It's just white on a black background, and a little bit of colours to highlight certain warnings. Before my RA I had a Lancer GT and the speed/rpm gauges had red as well as white mixed into the whole look, and the red in the middle matched the instrument panel very well.

For the read outs... if you think 1000$ is too much, you can buy separate gauges which would be cheaper. Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure there are other gauges besides "boost" that you can add inside your cabin.

Maybe look for a second hand one or a wrecked Lancer. But yeah price is one reason why I couldn't be bothered doing this. It really comes down to personal preference for this one.
