Rattling Plastic

Has anyone figured out a fix to keep the flat rectangular plastic piece that extends from the top of the rear seats to the bottom of the rear windshield where it meets the trunk from rattling ever time you're driving on less than perfect roads or hit a little bump? I'm referring to the piece that keeps you from looking down and seeing what's in the trunk if you're looking through the rear windows or rear windshield. It's starting to drive me nuts on long trips!

I can actually complain about the exact same thing! Mine rattles when I'm at 1800 RPM and it annoys the crap out of me! Mine also rattles on the front dash somewhere (near the airbag plastic thing) when im at 1500 RPM >< I was thinking of jamming some black rubber bits between the joins? Temporary solution?

I used Dynamat on both the entire bottom of the plastic piece and also put it on the metal that it comes in contact with. The rattle is completely gone and that's even with two 12's in the trunk.

Go to home Depot and and buy window insulator. Its in a tube shape and is made of grey material. There is gap between the window and the rear deck lid. Measure how you need and then cut the insulter is half. Use a panel popper or something else long and flat and push the material into the gap. Push it down far enough till you know its not going to work itself back out from bass or bumps.

This is how i fixed the problem on my Lancer and on Ralliart when my bass hits.

Last night noticed for the first time a rattle that sounds like a screw is un-tapping its self from behind the steering wheel. (*Sigh*) Does that mean I am going to have to take the whole thing apart to get to that one screw? Is there some instructions on how to take apart the entire dash so I can tighten and dampen joins?
