Paddle shifters?
Paddle shifters?
Hey guys this might sound dumb or whatever but I was wondering if anyone has changed the color of their paddles? I'm not a big fan of the silver color because it doesn't go with my color scheme. So if anyone had done this can you post a pic? Also how would you go about coloring them since their magnesium? Powder coat, anodized, or what?

I can't find the post but it might have been on the g9 lancer forum. The auto base lancers still had the plug for the paddle shifter as it was an option. one of the members hooked it up and they worked. I just don't remember what trim lvl it was.
It should be possible. Some of the early CVT cars had paddle "shifters" from the factory. Whether or not all of the CVT transmissions have the programming in TCU to utilize them properly is another question and for a different section of the forum (as is the question "is it possible to fit paddle shifters to a CVT").
Thanks for the inputs. I have read on a few forums about the es or de using paddle shifters just never anything on se awc. I did however see this PDF that shows SE AWC is compatible with the paddle shifters (http://www.mitsubishi-motors.ca/medi...or_website.pdf). If this is true would that mean the paddle shifters of the MR evo should work? Because this is the only paddle shifter I can find for lancer

I dunno if Id take the time to remove these just to anodize them. There are cf covers that I found that go over these but they are pretty expensive. My other alternative would be to plastidip them.
