question regarding ACD modes

Hi, guys, i have a question, ralliart has 2 acd settings, normal and sport, plus SST has manual mode, my question is:
are there any difference between:
1. manual + normal
2. manual + sport

because since you are using manual to control shift, acd doesn't do shift for you, but are there anything else different?

sport mode shifts "harder" (slips the clutches less for a faster firmer shift), normal mode shifts smoother (slips the clutches for a smoother more comfortable shift).

FYI, you're getting mixed up between ACD and SST. The ACD has nothing to do with shifting.

speaking of .... read ACD stuff, if you accidentally switched setting to gravel or snow without notice and drive on the tarmac for long time, will that cause any harm?

No, none of the settings will cause harm if you use them on the "wrong" surface. They are only to optimize the diff's locking for that surface type.
