Any issues starting the car in brutally cold weather?
-30°c in Edmonton right now - my car made the "Woooo" sound for the first time - sounds like a robot ghost in my engine bay
Going to let the car warm for at least ten minutes before I put her into gear....

Yes, I'm in Edmonton too and it's just brutally cold tonight. Same sound. I think that sound is normal though. It's the smell of gasoline and the rough start that makes me worried. Luckily those new relays will, hopefully, solve my problem.
Ok, let's finish this story here!
I received my relay set from SSP on Tuesday. After I opened the hood, it looked like the relays may have already been changed... except for the one that should be the fuel pump relay (according to the diagrams I saw online). I noticed most of them were blue, and I had one big grey relay for MFI. If I read those forums correctly, the blue ones might be an indicator that things have been replaced. The fuel pump relay was small and black. So I replaced all of them anyways with my set of Omron black relays (grey for the MFI).
So far, the weather hasn't been below -30C, but I did get a chance for a few -25 cold starts. No more gas smell, and the car has been starting first try. Even though I get lots of whistling noises and screeches, all of those are normal for that kind of weather. The important part is that my fuel pump relay is now fixed. I did give the old relay the lightbulb check and it did sound like there was a small piece dangling around in there. So I have to assume and conclude that the fuel pump relay was the culprit.

This may be a older ralliart issue. I have 2012 ralliart and live in saskatoon and have never had to to try more than once. It is common for the car to have a higher idle iv found when it gets really cold but come back down once the engine warms up.
