Could use some Exhaust help

Hey guys, I recently bought a Magnaflow CBE for my ralliart. I was waiting till i bought a test pipe or HFC to install it, so i could just do it all at once.

But anyways, my question is would an AMS test pipe work with the Magnaflow?
What tp/hfc combination would you guys recommend for this exhaust if something else? Also sound clips would be great.

Would appreciate the help!

I am using a CP-E downpipe and Turbo XS high flow cat with the Magnaflow. The exhaust isn't too loud when cruising around, but when you step on it, it sounds awesome.

If you look at the different options, the Turbo XS HFC is a steal at $190. It is really well made (just as good as the Cobb one).

I really wouldn't recommend the AMS test pipe. That thing is ridiculously overpriced for what it is - a really simple pipe with a couple of bungs on it. They are just charging for the name. The same thing from other shops is $110-150.

Honestly, get a turboback, having a 3" downpipe so you can spool a little bit faster. I do have a turboxs one brand new for sale too if interested. Dont choke your exhaust by not having a downpipe with a catback

It's kind of strange though, if you go to the TurboXS website, they only have the HFC listed in the EvoX products section, and they want $269.00 for it there. I'm assuming it would still fit the Ralliart, but I'm surprised at the big price difference between their website and the $189.00 price on the Lancershop.com site.

I was looking at the Depo one as well, but the Turbo XS was too nice to pass up for $190, especially considering the effort they have put into designing the part compared to much more expensive ones from AMS and Ultimate Racing. I am thinking that Turbo XS might have discontinued turbo back option for the Ralliart and that's why it is so cheap on LancerShop (in fact their entire turbo back on LancerShop is the same price as just the cat back on Turbo XS' own website).

Btw it's worth noting that the Depo HFC is 200 cell and the Turbo XS is 100, so it might make a bit more power too.

Great point, the cell count should always be considered when choosing a HFC. I went with Mil.Spec for my car and it was 175 cell at the time, but they also make a 100 cell cat. I've never had a Check Engine Light with mine, but a lower cell count HFC might trigger one more easily.
