Evo X fender Arch on Ralliart
I am actually seriously looking in to fitting the actual X vent in the fenders of my RA. But I agree with others.......no function, no bueno....
And before you tell me that the X has the vents, because it has bigger, better brakes that benefit from the additional cooling than the RA has, I say to you.....Nuh uh....

^ you are correct!
Those side vents on the EVO X are for additional cooling for the engine bay. They draw additional (hot) air out...
The wheels actually move the air to cool the brakes.
A duct in front of the calipers will also help...

i don't get why people automatically assume that your racing everywhere you go and need to shed pounds 24/7! half the people on this website have an evo, ralliart or lancer for the looks, speed is a bonus. so if people are looking to go faster they will remove their backseat, remove the passenger seat, remove the carpet, remove the engine cover, remove the stock stereo system.. if your not one of those people people then please shut the hell up. and yes im gonna wrap my roof in vinyl and make my car soo much slower! and yes im gonna tint my windows and make my car soo much slower! because I like how my car looks

^^Agreed. I dont race but I install an aftermarket turbo. Does this mean I should race now? No, I just like speed every now and then but I also like to make my car look good so if adding vents is to your liking go for it, I may do the same. Like I said people always add parts to their cars that have no benefit but it looks good so why not!

Not once did I say I wasn't in it for function at all..I just ordered evo x turbo/ intercooler and piping.. But alls I'm saying is if I want to put something on my car I will.. I'm not gonna be crapping my pants if I add half an ounce of weight to my car. Yah brembo brake covers... Hahahaha!
Form over function?! Are you kidding me?! Just because someones put side vents on their car doesnt mean they dont have performance mods. **** Im basically right where you are at. Put side vents on your car is no different than adding a lip or side skirts. Do what you want with your own car. If everyone listened to people about what mods they should do every car would be basically the same! Youre an Evo VIII owner anyways, why are you in here *****ing about what people should do to their Ralliarts?!

^Only if the car is tracked.. spoilers do nothing for daily driving. Simple physics. Most Lancers / Ralliarts that purchase spoilers do NOT race. I didn't list Evos because most of the ones I have seen that have purchased aftermarket park benches actually do race it.
I have always liked the look of the Evo fender vents. I think it gives the car a better look. It flows really well with the body of the car. Especially since I have Apex Silver with black accents. If you'd like to send Evo X fenders free of charge, I'll be glad to give you my address. Otherwise, like they say, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. You're not the one driving with fake fender vents.

It looks good on the evo because they have flared out fenders, and the vents sit nice in a recessed spot. Putting them on on a ralliart will have them sticking out.

IMO our car is a ralliart why would you want to make it LOOK like an evo? People think my car is a evo all the time and I have not a evo on the back window I like our differences to make our car's diff than the evo just like some people who try to make there regular lancer look like a Ralliart or Evo but it is there car so they do what ever they want I just like the way ours come with the chrome and all
