Wide Fenders and OEM Fender Liners....

i have a question for those that have wide front fenders. how are you guys keeping the fender liners in place? i know its a bad idea to remove them fully, but with the wide fenders they don't line up. my only thought is to bend a few strips of metal and arch them in the shape of the liners and then attach the liners to them to keep them in place. i just wanted to see if anyone has better ideas or options. appreciate the help.

Im in the same boat as you. A local with a voltex kit has told me he has ran without fender liners for a few years without issue. He dailys his evo and so do i. my car is in the shop now being painted with a voltex kit and hrs wide front fenders... when its done i plan on using thhe oem liners and getting some cheap fender liners cutting them and widen them using a plastic welder. That or sheet metal strips like you said.

interesting, have you done a write up on this? i have hrs fenders and my liners are just sitting lose right now, im planning on doing the strips but if what you did prevents potential damage to engine components from debris or water, then i would definitely like to consider that as well and just remove the liners.

Looks like a well worth mod, I might try the same task but with a solid plastic material.

In the same boat as you guys. Right now, I am using zip ties to hold everything together, but I need something better than that
