Question Road Trip Car info needed!

Hey all, I am planning a trip to San Francisco from San Diego in my 2013 Ralliart.

On the way I am planning on camping at Pismo Beach CA, as well as ride on some dunes.

I have some questions and concerns that I was hoping the awesome members of this site could help me with.

1. Any information regarding similar trips, Beach driving/dunes. TIPS

2. Any potential Car issues I should be looking for or PREP.

3. ANY TIPS

4. I am changing oil and filter prior to the trip.

The weather should be between 60-75.

Any tips help or ex[ericnes help!! THANK YOU MITSU-Owners

Ahh yeah definitely that, simple tool set, lights.

Any more answers to the rest of my questions guys?

No road trip issues with these cars, dunes, precautions?

You are going to drive your car in the dune area? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Not wise, get a 4 wheeler and do it that way.

You most likely won't even get past the low tide crossing in a car like that. Why bother with the salt water, it will get into everything.

I've driven from Pittsburgh to Maine, Delaware, and South Carolina in mine. No issues, only fun

Yeahh thanks for the responses. So as far as driving to a camp site on the beach no problem? cautious driving is all? Nothing stupid.

I've driven on the beach, no issues. but if you get into high soft sand and stop, you still may get stuck. camping shovel, 2x6 (cut to fit in trunk) might be wise to bring along.

Perfect, thank you, was hoping someone knew their car is for simple off road at least.

Wanted some reassurance. Shovel though definitely, thanks! Ill stay away from sand traps, just the drive to the campsite mostly.
