I would look into the YFZ450 Atv. I have one and it screams, its just as quick as the raptor 700.

Also the Honda TRX450 is quite good. I have been around those a bit and they scream...the Raptor might be abit more than you can handle for awhile unless you are experienced on quads then you would be fine. I rode a friends raptor 660 that had a couple mods and if you weren't careful that thing would flip over in 4th gear. I like the stableness of the Yamaha and Honda's 450's myself. They are alittle more race oriented by have good support for everything. Just more mainstream I guess. But the 700 isn't some you want to jump into unless you are familiar with quads...I race a KDX220R and quads are just so different from bikes.

I have raced quads for a few years. I have an '04 Raptor with about $15K in to it. It is definitely an awesome beast! I have done moto-x, xc, sand drags, dunes, and lots of trail riding. If you've been on bikes before the Raptor shouldn't be too much to handle. It's definitely a great platform to build on if you plan to mod it. Mine is for sale. PM me if you're interested. . . need to pay for the EVO mods!

Are you just going to be duning? Are you going to mod it at all? The YFZ is easier to mod and more fun, but if your going to keep it stock i would get the 700. Way softer seat and better ride for those long rides in the dunes. The YFZ is fast as hell out of the box thats for sure.

I would get the YFZ then i have 2 one is a 2004 and a 2007. The 2004 is set up for flat track only. The YFZ will be a great quad for ya. Are you going to be racing at all?

You should get the new KTM 525XC ATV. I just baught one. I have ridden them all and this is by far the best stock for stock. Any other has to be modded preaty heavy to hang with it. Bad thing is it is a little spendy & good luck trying to find one. They are all good bikes thow. Best bang for the buck is probably YFZ 450 or LTR 450. Or step up to the plate and get the KTM. Just my opionion.
